Bihar Weather: Cold breaks record in Patna, Meteorological Department issues cold alert for 2 days

Due to the effect of cold westerly wind coming from the western part of the Himalayas, the storm of cold and winter is wreaking havoc in the entire Bihar. Bihar is experiencing bone-chilling cold due to the cold wave. An alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding bitter cold for the next two days. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in many districts of South Bihar including Patna and Gaya on January 17. There are chances of cold wave in Patna, Gaya and two-three districts of southern and northern parts of the state. At present there is havoc of fog and Kankani. For the second consecutive day, people are seen shivering due to the cold wave blowing amidst cold fog.

According to Meteorological Center Patna, the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 3 degrees in the next two days. During this period, there will be moderate fog in Patna, Gaya and other districts of South Bihar, while there will be dense fog in Araria, Purnia and adjoining districts. In view of the cold wave, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in many districts of the state.

Due to the effect of western disturbance, the weather conditions may deteriorate from January 16. There is no possibility of rain but it will be cloudy. Here, the effect of severe cold is visible not only on the common people but also on the market. There is less activity on the roads on Saturday morning due to Kankani.
