It may rain in Patna on 6th and 7th December

According to meteorologists, the weather of the state has been affected due to the cyclonic storm in the south. At the same time, on Sunday, the minimum temperature of the city decreased slightly compared to Saturday, but despite this, the temperature was recorded six degrees above normal at 17.4 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre, there is no possibility of any significant difference in temperature in the next 24 hours.

Dr. Sunil Kumar, Nodal Officer of the Meteorological Department of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, said that there will be a decrease in the maximum temperature and minimum temperature in Bhagalpur between 4th to 8th December, there is a possibility of light rain in Bhagalpur between 6th to 7th December. During this period the sky may remain partly cloudy, there is a possibility of western wind blowing during this period. During this period the average wind speed can be 1 to 3 kilometers per hour.

In all the areas including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnia, the minimum temperature has been recorded six degrees above normal. However, the minimum temperature is likely to increase further from Monday. For some time now the night temperature has gone up to eight degrees Celsius from normal. At present, severe cold will not be felt in the state even in the first week of December.

Bihar is also suffering from pollution. Katihar and Purnia remained the most polluted cities of the state on Sunday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) of both the cities was recorded at 376. However, the AQI of Patna city is continuously improving for the last two days. However, the air in the areas of Muradpur, Danapur and Rajvanshinagar of Ashok Rajpath is still worse. The highest AQI recorded in Muradpur was 376, whereas in Danapur and Rajvanshinagar it was more than 300 or close to it. However, air pollution is quite less in Taramandal and Shikarpur area. The AQI monitoring machine of Begusarai has not been repaired yet. Apart from Katihar and Purnia cities, nine cities of Bihar are being recorded in AQI beyond 200 i.e. in very poor category. Among these nine polluted cities, the air quality of the cities of North Bihar is getting worse. Pollution control experts say that despite repeated refusal from the administration, some farmers are still not desisting from burning straw. The monitoring team of the Pollution Board is continuously identifying hot-spots of straw burning through drones.
