A database has to be prepared about schools across the country. Under this, every school is given a U-DICE number. The school concerned is identified by this number. Through this, information has to be obtained about the number of government and private schools across the country, the number of teachers there along with the basic structure of the school etc. According to this, the Ministry of Education provides funds under various heads to the schools.
