A state in Eastern India: On Tuesday, the Gaya RPF team arrested two youths along with Doda near the foot overbridge at Howrah end of Gaya railway station. The arrested youths have been identified as Abhay Singh and Dev Mehra of Baghor village under Kishangarh Vas police station area of Alwar district of Rajasthan. Both are residents of the same village. In this regard, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner (RPF Senior Commandant) of DDU Division, Jethin B Raj said that a special campaign was launched to get the trains passing and opening from Gaya railway station safe.

The campaign was being led by RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash and his team. Meanwhile, two people were seen in suspicious condition with two big bags under the ramp of the bridge at Howrah end, located at number one platform. The police tried to catch both of them while speeding, but after seeing the police, both the youths started running away. However, the police chased and caught both the youths. When the bag was checked, 19.2 kg of intoxicant (doda) was recovered in it. Its cost has been estimated at one lakh 15 thousand 200 rupees. The police have registered an FIR against both the youths at the railway station. Police is taking further action.
Tender was taken to reach Jaipur, money was received in advance
Both the arrested youths confessed their crime before the police and said that they had taken a tender to deliver 19.2 kg doda to Jaipur. Some money was also received in advance for delivery. Both the youth told that 19.2 kg doda was brought from Raniganj market of Imamganj police station area through bus to Gaya railway station. Gaya Railway Station train number 12307 Howrah-Jodhpur Express which runs from Howrah to Jodhpur was waiting on the platform to be taken to Jaipur. During this, the arrest took place. GRP Gaya registered case number 119/2023 under section 08/20/22 NDPS Act against both the youths. Investigation is being done at every point regarding the recovered drug Doda.
