Fines are being collected from the drivers of these vehicles. But, now the buses will be confiscated.

Monitoring through control room

Along with confiscating the buses, there is also an order to cancel their registrations. Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal had ordered Patna Traffic SP and District Transport Officer to take action. Besides, there are instructions to monitor these buses through CCTV control room. Now the strictest action will be taken against such buses in the capital. The Transport Secretary himself is monitoring these buses. Along with this, the action will be reviewed soon. Traffic SP has also been ordered to monitor this matter. At the same time, after this, diesel buses will no longer operate in the capital.

Ban on operations aimed at improving air quality

Let us tell you that in order to improve the air quality in the urban area of ​​the capital, the operation of diesel city buses has been stopped. A notification regarding this was issued by the Transport Department in the month of March. After this, operations were stopped from 30 September. But, even after this, diesel buses are operating. After this the fine is being collected. But, now there is an order to confiscate these buses. The operation of diesel buses was stopped in Patna Municipal Corporation, Danapur, Khagaul and Phulwarisharif Municipal Council areas. The Transport Department had issued a notification regarding this in the month of March.

Fines collected from more than 1200 vehicles

According to the information, a special campaign was conducted on Saturday and action has been taken against 37 drivers driving e-rickshaws without lights. At the same time, on Sunday at 5 pm, Traffic DSP III will listen to the problems of the people on Facebook Live. By running a special campaign, the traffic police has collected a fine of Rs 16 lakh 66 thousand from 12 hundred 49 vehicles for violating different traffic rules. From September 30, 2023, the operation of diesel-powered city buses has been banned in the limits of Patna Municipal Corporation, Danapur Municipal Council, Khagaul Municipal Council and Phulwarisharif Municipal Council area. Despite this, buses are being operated illegally in the city. These will now be confiscated. On Saturday around 4 pm, a bus was seen moving near Kurji Mor. The transport department has formed a team and is continuously investigating and collecting fines. So far, a fine of Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand has been imposed on 69 city buses and five buses have also been confiscated. It is being told that except the main road of the city, diesel buses are being operated on other routes. Now these will be confiscated.
