Bihar: Traveling from Rohtas to Kolkata becomes easy, know which cities of UP and Jharkhand will benefit from the Green Field Highway.

Varanasi-Ranchi Kolkata Green Field Highway will pass through Rohtas (Sasaram). Its three packages will fall in Sasaram. In this, Package 3 has been awarded. DPR of package four and five is being prepared. Sasaram’s BJP MP Chhedi Paswan had written a letter to the PM’s office requesting this. In response to this, Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari sent a letter to the MP and informed that the Varanasi-Ranchi Kolkata Greenfield Highway will pass through Rohtas. The work of its package three has been awarded. The Panduka bridge built on Son river on this route will be connected to NH119. For this, Akbarpur-Zardaha road will be re-aligned. The same will extend to Srinagar-Kandi-Majhiyaanv-Garhwa on NH-39 in Jharkhand. For this, opinion has been sought from Bihar and Jharkhand governments.

Varanasi-Ranchi Kolkata Greenfield Highway is being built in three packages. The project will be completed in two years with Rs 2998 crore. The project will start from Rewasa village of Chandauli, which will end in Konki village of Rohtas. This road of Bharatmala Project will pass through 89 villages of Rohtas, Kaimur and Aurangabad districts. For this, land worth Rs 338 crore has been acquired. In the first phase, a 27 km long road is to be built from Rewasa in Chandauli, UP to Shihoria, Kaimur at a cost of Rs 994 crore. After this, the 27 km long stretch from Shihoria in Kaimur to Shivgaon Bhabua will be constructed at a cost of Rs 891 crore. After this, a 36 kilometer long road will be constructed from Shivgaon in Kaimur to Konki Rohtas at a cost of Rs 1113 crore.
