Regarding this, on Thursday, Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal held a meeting with the officials of the districts. In this meeting, the Transport Department has decided to take strict action on school condom trains running across the state. Small and big vehicles carrying school children will be checked on all parameters including permit, fitness, pollution, insurance, speed governor, VLTD etc. At the same time, instructions have been given to take action against condom vehicles if shortage is found. All DTOs have also been ordered in this regard. At the same time, a team of 15 MVI (Motor Vehicle Inspector) has been formed to check vehicles in Patna.

Order given to form a team and investigate in the districts

He said that complaints are being received from many places that speed standards are not being followed in many buses. Besides this, the standards set for safety in buses are also not being followed. The Transport Secretary has directed to form teams in the districts to strictly check such buses.

These things will be investigated

During inspection, school vehicles will be checked on all parameters. During the inspection of school vehicles, it will be seen whether the vehicle is being operated or not. Whether speed governor is installed in the vehicle or not, whether VLTD is active or not, whether the conditions of the permit are followed properly or not. Along with this, fitness, pollution certificate and insurance certificate etc. will also be checked.

Team of 15 MVI formed for vehicle checking in Patna

The Transport Secretary said that after surveying the schools in Patna, a team of 15 MVI has been formed to check the school vehicles, which will ensure that there is no deficiency of any kind in the school vehicles and all the prescribed standards are followed. If any defect is found in the vehicles, legal action will be taken by imposing fine.

The department has sought details of school vehicles from all the districts within a week. How the vehicles are being operated in the schools.
