Security forces deployed from Jamui Circle Jail to New Sub Jail

Two prisoner vehicles are being used to shift all the criminals from one place to another. Also, they are being taken from one place to another amidst heavy security. Elaborate security arrangements have been made to complete this entire process and security forces have been deployed from Jamui Mandal Jail to the new sub-jail. Apart from DM-SP, Jail Superintendent, Sub-Divisional Officer, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Headquarters DSP, Police Line DSP, many police station heads and a large number of police personnel have been deployed.

Construction of sub jail at a cost of 15 crores

Significantly, Jamui Mandal Jail had the capacity to hold 188 prisoners. But at present, 419 percent more prisoners were staying in the jail than the capacity. Each ward had the capacity to accommodate only 15 to 17 prisoners, but the number of prisoners was so high that there were 70 to 80 prisoners in each ward of Jamui Mandal Jail. In view of this situation, a sub-jail was constructed near Maniyada on Jamui Lakhisarai main road at a cost of 15 crores and that jail was transferred to the district administration about two and a half years ago by the sensor. But despite this, the prisoners could not be shifted to the new jail till date.

The criminals had cut a tunnel in the jail

The prisoners are finally being shifted on Tuesday. Also inform that at present in Jamui Mandal Jail, many big Naxalites like Reena Koda, wife of hardcore Naxalite Sidhu Koda, Naxalite Pintu Rana, Karuna Di, Baleshwar Koda, Arjun Koda, Sunita Koda, many big criminals of Tanton Mishra gang and history sheeter sandalwood Renowned criminals like Mahato alias Veerappan are locked up. As far as the security of Mandal Jail is concerned, in the last few years many incidents of criminals trying to escape from Mandal Jail have come to the fore. Two years ago, the criminals lodged in Mandal Jail had cut a tunnel in the jail. However, after seeing the tunnel by the children playing in the field, it was informed to the police and the criminals could not escape from there.

Decision to make 15 new jails

Let us tell you that question marks are constantly being raised on the safety of prisoners in Mandal Jail. Apart from this, due to the high number of prisoners in the ward, many times the talk of clashes among themselves also comes to the fore. But now with the shifting of prisoners to the new jail, they will be kept under elaborate security arrangements. It is worth mentioning that just two days ago, the government has decided to build 15 new jails and has also given approval to build new buildings in jails in many other districts including Jamui so that the capacity to keep prisoners can be increased.
