Bihar train accident: Two brothers were returning home from Delhi after sending their sister on Umrah, one died after being crushed by a train.

Bihar train accident: Abu Zaid, 27, resident of Kishanganj and his cousin Mohammad Nasir, 18, were traveling in AC-III tier coach B7 of train number 12506 North East Express going from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kamakhya. As soon as this train reached Raghunathpur in Buxar, a loud noise came from outside and the train suddenly overturned with a jerk. Nasir survived safely in this accident, but Zaid, who was traveling on berth number 68, died in this accident. According to the information, Zaid, a resident of Saptia Bishanpur village of Kishanganj district, was returning to his home from Delhi. He had gone with his sister and brother-in-law three days ago to drop them off for the Islamic pilgrimage of Umrah to Mecca.

Both brothers were preparing to sleep

Nasir, who survived the accident safely, told that after having dinner we were going to sleep, when suddenly the coach derailed. Initially I did not understand what had happened. Everything was out of our control. I tried to find Zaid but could not find him. Later I came to know that he had been crushed to death in a train accident.

Was returning after leaving sister and brother-in-law

Zaid’s mother Khurshida Begum said in grief that Zaid’s sister and her husband were going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah. Zaid had gone with them to Delhi to drop them and was returning home when he met with the accident. She said that if I had known that Zaid would not come back, I would never have asked him to go to Delhi with my daughter and son-in-law. Khurshida Begum told that we were thinking about Zaid’s marriage. Zaid was planning to shift to Delhi in search of a job so that he could become financially independent before marriage, but destiny had other plans. Zaid has two unmarried sisters, Teharsun Nisha, 30, and Zeba Parveen, 20.

Assurance of providing all possible help to the victim’s family

Here, after knowing about the incident, Kishanganj District Magistrate (DM) Tushar Singla came into action and directed disaster officer in-charge Zafar Alam and SDM Latifur Rehman to go to the house of the deceased at midnight. DM Tushar Singla, through both the senior officials, assured all possible help and immediate government assistance to the victim’s family. Former JDU MLA Mujahid Alam, who came to meet the family members, said that the body is being brought to Kochadhaman after post-mortem.

Four people died, 78 injured in train accident

Let us tell you that on Wednesday night at around 9:45 pm, the North East Express going from Anand Vihar to Kamakhya met with an accident near Raghunathpur station. 23 coaches of this train derailed and one bogie climbed over the other bogie. According to information received from the Disaster Management Department, four people have died in this train accident. Meanwhile, 78 passengers have been injured. In which 26 people are being traced from Bihar, 23 from West Bengal, 11 from UP, six from Assam, three from MP, two from Haryana, one each from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Tripura. At the same time, 29 people have been sent home after first aid. The four deceased have been identified by their relatives. Among those who died, two were from Assam, one from Bihar and one from Rajasthan. Of these, the Disaster Management Department has given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to three.
