Patna. Bihar STF has achieved great success. STF has arrested notorious interstate gold robber Shashank Singh alias Sonu. Sonu was arrested early on Sunday morning after a raid from Beur police station area of Patna. Along with STF, a special team of Dehradun Police was also involved in this action. Gold worth about Rs 20 crore was looted from a jewelery shop located in Kotwali police station area of Dehradun. Sonu was continuously absconding after committing this robbery incident on November 9, 2023.
The police was looking for him for a long time
His name had come up in the investigation of Dehradun Police. After this, based on the input received from the police there, the Bihar STF team collected intelligence about him and arrested him. Sonu is originally a resident of Sonpur in Simri Bakhtiyarpur police station area of Saharsa district. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, cases of robbery are registered against him in many police stations of Bihar also. The police was searching for him for a long time. Sonu’s arrest is being considered a big success. The arrested Sonu will be handed over to Dehradun Police for questioning.
Case registered against him in four states
According to police sources, this major incident of robbery took place on 9 November 2023 when criminals looted gold jewelery worth Rs 20 crore in Kotwali police station area of Dehradun. Sonu from Bihar was also involved in this robbery incident. He is absconding after the robbery, who has been arrested by Dehradun Police with the help of Bihar STF. Sonu is a resident of Sonpur area of Simri Bakhtiyarpur police station area of Saharsa. The police was busy searching for him for several days. Robbery cases are registered against him in MP, Dehradun, Bengal and Bihar.
