Bhagalpur Road Accident: One person died in a horrific road accident in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The incident took place near the petrol pump in Rangra police station area under police district Navgachia. The driver of a passenger bus coming at high speed lost his control over the bus. While trying to overtake, he hit a tractor coming from the front. The collision was so strong that the tractor broke into two parts while many passengers sitting in the bus were injured. The tractor driver died. There is chaos in the house of the deceased. The police have seized the bus. The driver of the bus absconded after the incident.
Bus hits tractor from front
The bus hit the tractor from the front near Himanshu Petrol Pump in Rangara OP area of Navagachia. The tractor driver died in this accident. More than half a dozen bus passengers suffered minor injuries. The deceased tractor driver is Vedanand Mandal, son of Chandradev Mandal of Milky Navtolia of Navgachia police station. Toofan Deluxe coach bus was going from Purnia to Khagaria. The bus driver was driving the bus very fast and carelessly. While trying to overtake the bus, it hit the tractor from the front, due to which the tractor driver was seriously injured. The bus hit the tractor and hit the container installed there. Local people took the tractor driver to sub-divisional hospital Navagachia for treatment. The doctor examined the tractor driver and declared him dead.
The bus driver left the bus and absconded
After the incident, the bus driver left the bus and ran away. Rangra OP police has reached the spot and is investigating. As soon as she got the information about her husband’s death, wife Poonam Devi was crying badly. Two sons Sachin Kumar and Munna Kumar and daughter Swati Kumari were mourning. Rangra OP police sent the body for post-mortem. An FIR will be registered against the bus driver in Rangra OP for rash and negligent driving. The police have seized the bus. The accident vehicle was removed from the site.

Another road accident took place in Bhagalpur itself. A minor was seriously injured after being hit by an uncontrolled bike on SH-84 Sakhua Chowk on Sanhaula-Ghogha main road on Friday afternoon. The injured is Saurabh Kumar (15) of Pariyak village located in Amdanda police station area, father is Etwari Tanti. On receiving information about the incident, Inspector Chandan Kumar of Sanhaula police station reached the spot with police force and admitted the injured to Sanhaula hospital. Seeing his condition serious, he was referred to Bhagalpur Mayaganj for better treatment. Eyewitnesses told that Saurabh Kumar was standing on the roadside at Sakhua Chowk. The uncontrolled bike coming from Sanhaula hit him hard and ran away. With the help of passengers, the injured person was given first aid at a nearby private clinic and admitted to Sanhaula Hospital. The leg of the injured is broken and he has suffered a deep head injury. His situation is worrying.
A girl crossing the road in Lakhisarai was crushed by a pickup, died
Here, a 12-year-old girl died in a road accident on Friday near Nawadih village of Tetarhat police station area of Lakhisarai district. According to the information received, Kismat Praveen, 12 year old daughter of Altaf Ansari, resident of Poonradih village of Barhat police station area of Jamui district, had come to her grandmother’s house in Navadih village to attend the wedding. During this time, she was getting down from the vehicle on the Lakhisarai-Jamui road near Nawadih and was going to the other side of the road when a pickup vehicle hit her hard. Due to which the girl was badly injured. After receiving information about the incident, the local officer and police force reached the spot and took the injured girl to Sadar Hospital for better treatment. Where after investigation the doctors declared the girl dead.
