Bihar: Seventh Monday of Sawan today, crowd gathered to perform Jalabhishek in the temple, devotees arrived for Jalabhishek

Sawan 2023: Devotees thronged the temples of Bihar on Monday. Devotees have thronged for Jalabhishek on the seventh Monday. On the seventh Monday of Sawan, for Jalabhishek in Baba Garibnath temple, Kanwariyas started flocking from Sunday evening itself. Jalabhishek of Baba Garibnath started at 12 midnight. Kanwaris of North Bihar as well as neighboring districts and Nepal performed Jalabhishek of Baba. On the occasion of Nag Panchami and the seventh Monday of Sawan, a large number of Kanwariyas have started arriving since Sunday evening. There, there are special arrangements for security from the administration. A huge crowd of devotees is being seen in different temples of the state. Here the pagoda resounded with the slogans of Har Har Mahadev.

Special arrangements in pagodas regarding Nag Panchami and Monday.

The police personnel posted at Bhagalpur’s Ajgavinath temple have been instructed to keep vigil. Special arrangements have been made in all the pagodas of the city for Nag Panchami and Monday. The administration is fully alert. About 70 thousand Kanwariyas left for Deoghar on Sawan Shukla Paksha Chaturthi from the holy Uttarwahini Ganga coast at Sultanganj in Bhagalpur. Divers and SDRF teams have been deployed at the ghat. On the seventh Monday, a total of 8098 postal bomb certificates went to Babadham for water offering. According to the official data, 7907 male and 191 female postal workers raised water. Ordinary Kanwariyas went to Babadham with 58,728 Ganges water. This figure is only till 6 pm. Kanwarias are continuously going to Babadham. At many places, Kanwariya was being served with syrup and fruits in the service camp.

Crowd gathered on the banks of the Ganges

On Sunday, a large crowd of Dak Kanwaris gathered on the banks of the Ganges to offer water to Dak Jal Baba on the seventh Monday of Sawan. Postal bombs do not stop on Kanwaria path. It is believed that if he stops, his journey will not be considered complete. Even after standing at one place, his feet keep moving. After taking the certificate, the postal workers have to offer water within 24 hours. Many camps have been opened for the service of postal bombs on the way. Many types of facilities are being given to Dak Bam in the camp. Devotees say that after offering Dak Jal, there was progress in the job.

Camp organized for the service of Kanwariyas..

Here, in Muzaffarpur, a Kanwariya camp was organized in the premises of Shiv Parvati Seva Shivir at Kamtaul. Which was inaugurated by the state industry minister Sameer Mahaseth. There is arrangement for rest with tea and biscuits for Kanwariyas. On behalf of Garibnath Seva Manch, a Kanwariya camp was organized ahead of Sakri Chowk. In Muzaffarpur, for the first time this Sawan, the Shravani Festival fair from Tower Chowk to Gola Road was vibrant. There was no such shop where there was no crowd of customers. From stalls of chaat, golgappas and fast food to toy shops, there was an influx of customers. On the seventh Monday of Sawan, many service organizations organized camps and served the Kanwariyas.

Shravani fair was bright, shopkeepers’ faces blossomed

For the first time in this Sawan, there was so much activity in the fair. Seeing the crowd of kanwariyas and the movement of local people, the faces of the shopkeepers were beaming in the morning hours of Sunday itself. There was a good crowd of women at the makeup shops on both sides of the footpath in DN School Road. Apart from this, there was an influx of customers in Prasad shops as well. Many Kanwariyas bought sawdust, cardamom and peda before Jalabhishek. The Prasad shopkeeper says that the peda had to be thrown on the last two Mondays, but this time it is expected that there will be a good sale. The previous losses will be compensated. The toy seller says that this time the toy is selling well. Apart from balloons, guns, teddywear, utensil sets and dolls are in good demand. At the same time, there was an influx of green bindi, stick, alta and vermilion from the makeup shops.
