Bihar: Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh today, decoration of Gurudwara with colorful lights, crowd of devotees gathered.

Amitabh Srivastava, Patna City. The main function of the 357th Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj will be celebrated on Wednesday. At the same time, on Tuesday, a city kirtan was taken out under the leadership of Panj Pyare from Badi Sangat Gurudwara located in Gaighat, Patna. A group of women, youth and children were performing Shabad Kirtan in the Nagar Kirtan decorated with attractive bands and instruments. In this, the Jauhar of Gataka parties was the center of attraction of the people. Gurumat Samagam and Kirtan Darbar were organized in the decorated court of Takht Sahib. Whereas in Balleela Maini Sangat Gurdwara, the unbroken recitation of Shri Guru Granth Sahib was kept under the supervision of Sant Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale, which will conclude on the day of birth anniversary on 18th January.

Jauhar of Gatka group in city kirtan, march past of children

In the Nagar Kirtan led by Panj Pyare from Badi Sangat Gurdwara located at Gaighat, the march past of school children and the Jauhar of Gataka troupes from Punjab and other states were the center of attraction. Guru Granth Sahib was being carried on a chariot decorated with flower petals amidst the city kirtan. Its service was being done by the Jathedar of Takht Sahib, Giani Baldev Singh. Devotees were walking in front of the procession of Guru Granth Sahib, sweeping the roads, sprinkling water to clean them and showering flowers. Managing Committee Chairman Jagjot Singh Sohi, General Secretary Inderjit Singh, Senior Vice President Lakhbinder Singh, Secretary Harvansh Singh, Junior Vice President Gurvinder Singh, members Mahendrapal Singh Dhillon, Harpal Singh, spokesperson Sudeep Singh etc. were present in the Nagar Kirtan. The procession started from Gaighat and reached Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib via the main road of Ashok Rajpath, City Court, West Darwaza, Khajekalan, Machharhatta, Chowk.

End of Akhand Path with Ardaas and punishment special Diwan

Before the start of Nagar Kirtan, the continuous recitation of Guru Granth Sahib, which was going on for the last two days, at Badi Sangat Gurudwara in Gaighat ended with Ardaas under the supervision of the Granthi. After this, special Diwan celebration, which started with Shabad Kirtan by Jagadhari Ragi Jatha Mahagurjot Singh. After this Giani Daljit Singh narrated the story. Whereas Jasbir Singh Kavishree Jatha Tata Nagar, Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangeela, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Shant enthralled the gathering by performing Shabad Kirtan. After Shabad Kirtan, Takht Sahib’s Jathedar Giani Baldev Singh performed Ardaas Hukumnama. Before the start of Nagar Kirtan, the Executive Jathedar prayed for world peace and brotherhood. After this the city kirtan started.

Diwan decorated in Takht Sahib, Gurumat gathering

After the religious rituals as per the decorum at Takht Sahib on the occasion of Prakash Parv, Asha Di Bar Bhai Bikram Singh, Shabad Kirtan by Balwinder Singh Rangeela and Guru Shabad Vichar Giani Gagandeep Singh performed. Ardas and weapons darshan was done by Jathedar Giani Baldev Singh. After this, Bhai Kavinder Singh, Bhai Gyan Singh, Bhai Joginder Singh, Bhai Navinder Singh performed Shabad Kirtan in the special diwan decorated in Salas Rai Johar Diwan Hall. After this, Sodar Chowki Bhai Jodhvir Singh spoke in the Gurumat Samagam. After this, after recitation of Rahiras Sahib, Ardas, Hukumnama, Aarti, the story of Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa Mukhi Damdami Taksal Pradhan Sant Samaj was done.

Main function of Prakashotsav today

The main function of Prakash Utsav will be celebrated at Takht Sahib on Wednesday. Due to this, the ongoing Akhand Paath in Takht Sahib continued for the second consecutive day. A special diwan will be decorated on the occasion of Prakash Utsav. There will be Shabad Kirtan and Katha discourse. Sangat is coming from all over the country to participate in the Prakash Utsav of Guru Maharaj. The Chief Minister, Governor, Minister and MLA and others are likely to come to participate in the Prakash Parv.

Unbroken recitation in Bal Leela on birth anniversary

On Tuesday, a continuous recitation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was organized at Bal Leela Maini Sangat Gurudwara on the occasion of birth anniversary. It will conclude with the main function on Thursday, on the same day the birth anniversary will be celebrated under the supervision of Jathedar Sant Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale. Giving information about this, Baba Sukhwinder Singh Sukha and Gurwinder Singh said that a special Diwan will be decorated in the birth anniversary celebration, in which great saints will participate. Apart from this, there will be Shabad Kirtan and religious events.

Mahendra Pal Singh Dhillon, former General Secretary of the Management Committee, released the book ‘Main Hoon Param Purakh Ke Dasa’ written by Prof. Lal Mohar Upadhyay, published by Guruvani Prachar Seva Kendra, in connection with the Prakashotsav ceremony.
