Bihar Politics: Mayawati fields four candidates in Bihar

Bihar Politics, Patna. The contest has become interesting with Mayawati’s party BSP entering the political fray of Bihar for the Lok Sabha elections. Candidates of NDA and Grand Alliance have entered the electoral battle for the first phase of elections. Meanwhile, former Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati’s party BSP has also jumped into the political battle of Bihar. Bahujan Samaj Party has fielded its candidates on four seats in Bihar. After the field of candidates by BSP, now the problems of both NDA and Grand Alliance seem to be increasing. BSP has had influence on the seats bordering UP.

BSP fields candidates on all four seats in the first phase

In fact, Mayawati’s party BSP had decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections without any alliance. Along with UP, BSP has also started fielding its candidates in Bihar. Mayawati, entering the politics of Bihar, has fielded her candidates on four seats of Bihar in the first phase. BSP candidates from Gaya, Aurangabad, Jamui and Nawada seats filed their nominations on Thursday in the first phase of elections. Till now, the main contest on these seats was between the NDA and the Grand Alliance, but with the entry of BSP into the electoral fray, chances of a triangular contest on some seats have arisen.

Claim to field candidates on all 40 seats

BSP has made Sunesh Kumar from Aurangabad, Sushma Kumari from Gaya, Ranjit Kumar from Nawada and Sakaldev Das from Jamui as its candidates. Party’s Bihar state president Shankar Mahato announced the names of the candidates on Wednesday. With the announcement of the candidates, their nomination also started. Mahaton claimed that BSP is going to field its candidates on all 40 seats of Bihar. In the last elections also, BSP had fielded its candidates on all the seats in Bihar, although no one was successful.
