Bihar: People will find it easier to travel, know the order of Railways regarding change in the coach structure of trains.

Anand Tiwari, Patna: There is good news for the passengers traveling in general and sleeper coaches of the train. In view of the increasing crowd of passengers, the coach structure of trains will change again. Now at least four unreserved (general) coaches will be installed in the train. Whereas the number of sleeper coaches will also not be less than seven. For this, the Railway Board has issued orders to all the zones including East Central Railway. In this sequence, Poomre has also started implementing it. After this, preparations will be made to provide relief to the passengers. If experts are to be believed, about two years ago the Railways had ordered to change the structure of trains. However, at that time emphasis was laid on increasing AC coaches. Four to five AC coaches were installed instead of two. Due to this, the number of unreserved coaches in most trains was reduced to just two. Whereas in some trains only four sleeper coaches were installed. Due to this the crowd in General and Sleeper increased. The situation became so dire that even getting entry in the general coach during the festival was like winning a war.

Now the increased coaches will be engaged regularly, Director issued instructions

Complaints about the continuous crowd of passengers and the problems being faced continued to reach the Railway Ministry. In view of this, the Railway Board changed its view regarding train structure. In the order issued by Satyendra Kumar, Executive Director of the Board’s Coaching Complex, it has been said that at least four general coaches will be installed in the trains. Whereas instructions have been given to install six to seven sleeper coaches.

AC coaches were increased in these trains

– Bhagalpur Jammu Tawi Express

– Okha Guwahati Express

– Islampur Magadh Express

– Secunderabad Danapur Express

– Rajendra Nagar Lokmanya Tilak Kurla Express

– Patliputra LTT Express

Passengers climb with their lives at stake

There is a daily fight for seats in most of the major trains going from Patna Junction towards Delhi and Mumbai. The crowd becomes three to four times more during weddings and festivals. Although special trains are run by the Railways, even after seats are vacant in special trains, there is more crowd of passengers in routine trains. The situation is such that passengers travel standing on the opposite side of the platform. Most of the passengers are seen traveling with their lives at stake. In such a situation, passengers will get a lot of relief by increasing the number of coaches.
