Patna Municipal Corporation has started the facility of online mutation and holding transfer. Mayor Sita Sahu inaugurated it on Friday. Through this new service, any person will be able to apply online for mutation of any holding he has purchased. Apart from this, after the death of parents or any relative, people will also be able to get the property transferred in their name. For this, earlier one had to apply offline, which was a lot of trouble. But now the common people will get a lot of relief by getting online facility for these works.
It will be easy to transfer name
On this occasion, the Mayor said that now people should avail the benefits of both the facilities sitting at home. There is no need to run to municipal offices. Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar said that now complaints from citizens will not be received. The work will be completed on the scheduled working day. This will make it easier to transfer the name. After assessing the property, the corporation will determine the holding by doing physical verification.
Execution will have to be done in 35 days in non-disputed cases and 75 days in disputed cases.
Any application given for mutation or name change will have to be executed by the Municipal Corporation officials within a maximum of 35 working days. In case any dispute arises, in that case the maximum limit for execution has been fixed at 75 working days.

After execution of mutation, the applicant will be able to download the web copy of the mutation order from the corporation portal. If the applicant wants to get a certified copy or a copy of the order, then he will be able to get it through Chirakut in the zonal office of the corporation by depositing the prescribed fee at the rate of Rs 10 stamp duty and Rs 5 per folio.
Rs 500 up to 1000 square feet and Rs 1 per square foot above that
For applying online for mutation or name transfer, an application fee of Rs 100 will have to be paid. Apart from this, Rs 500 will have to be paid up to one thousand square feet and above that, a fee of Re 1 per square foot will have to be paid.
There will be no penalty for mutation for three months
Those applying for mutation will not have to pay any penalty for delay of three months, but those whose sale deed of new holding or plot has been executed for more than three months will have to pay Rs 10 for every day of delay. Fee will have to be paid at the rate of Rs. 2500, which can be maximum up to Rs. 2500.
There will be no penalty for name transfer for one year
Those who get the name transferred will not have to pay any penalty for the period up to one year after the death of their family member. After that, penalty will have to be paid at the rate of Rs 10 every day up to a maximum of Rs 2500.
