Bihar News: Bihar Police Headquarters has alerted all the districts regarding Lok Sabha elections 2024. Continuous campaigns are also being run in Naxal affected districts. In the same sequence, acting on the basis of secret information, the police has succeeded in catching a wanted Naxalite during a raid in Lakhisarai. The arrested wanted person is being said to be an associate of the jailed hardcore Naxalites. Many cases are also registered against the arrested Naxalite Pradeep Kumar Saav in Lakhisarai. He was absconding for the last 2 years.
Wanted Naxalite caught during raid
Lakhisarai Police and SSB took action and arrested wanted Naxalite Pradeep Kumar Sao. He was absconding for two years. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, anti-Naxal campaigns are being conducted continuously in Naxal affected/rural and urban areas etc. Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) received secret information about Naxalite activity and shared it with Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police. After which, under the leadership of ASP campaign, on 23 March, SSB Bannubagicha and team of Chanan police station and district police force raided the Mahuliya area of Chanan police station.
Tried to run away after seeing the police
ASP Operation Moti Lal told in a press conference that during the raid in Mahulia area, the activity of a person was seen suspicious. Seeing the security forces he started trying to run away. After which the security forces caught him and he was interrogated. Told that during interrogation, he told his name as Pradeep Kumar Saav, father – Ramchandra Saav, who is a resident of Mahulia of Chanan police station.
Kept working for hardcore Naxalites
ASP campaign said that arrested Pradeep Kumar Sao has been the main associate and supporter of hardcore Naxalite Arvind Yadav and arrested Naxalite Arjun Koda and Baleshwar Koda. He used to give advance information about the movements of the police force and supplied necessary items to the Naxalites. It was told that the arrested Naxalite Pradeep Kumar Sao was absconding for two years. Presently there was information about its occurrence in Jharkhand.
Police searched after the kidnapping
ASP Abhiyan told that the arrested Pradeep Kumar Sao also has previous cases registered against him. He is accused in Chanan police station case number 13/22. Cases are registered against him under many sections. Under this incident of 16 January 2022, Naxalites had kidnapped Ramji Yadav, a resident of Mahulia village of Chanan, and his son Dharamveer alias Kumkum. Pradeep Kumar Saav was also involved in this incident. Due to police raid, Naxalites had released both the kidnapped people.
