Bihar News: A student living in a hostel in Muzaffarpur died under suspicious circumstances. At present the district administration team is busy investigating the matter. The incident took place in the hostel of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School, Jarang, in Gaighat block of the district. The deceased student has been identified as Jyoti Kumari, a class 8 student of Laxmannagar, Gaighat. SDO Amit Kumar said that the matter is being investigated.
The condition became serious with fever, ultimately resulting in death.
According to the information received, on Sunday, a student living in the hostel of Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya, Jarang, suddenly started having high fever. He was hurriedly admitted to PHC late at night for treatment, where seeing no improvement in his condition, he was referred to SKMCH in a critical condition. However, there was no improvement in the student’s condition; on the contrary, her condition became more miserable and ultimately she died on Monday morning.
Allegations of girl students, worms are often found in food
After this incident, the family members of many girl students reached the school and made serious allegations against the school management, saying that their girls often talked about finding worms in their food. Suspecting this, the family members said that there must have been something wrong with the food, due to which the girl fell ill and her condition became so serious that she died today during treatment. The family members of the girl students also allege that there is a provision to prepare separate food for the employees posted there, whereas separate food is prepared and given to the girl students.
Joint committee of DEO and SDM will investigate
As soon as information about the matter was received, the district administration team reached the spot. The team is currently busy investigating the matter. The post-mortem of the student’s body was done in SKMCH hospital itself. Muzaffarpur SDO East Amit Kumar said that the entire matter will be investigated through a committee. He said that the District Education Officer and we ourselves will investigate the matter. A joint team of DEO and SDM has been formed and the matter is currently being investigated in this regard.
