Bihar News: Sharad of Bihar will get ‘Young Global Leaders’ honor

Bihar News: Bihar’s social entrepreneur and Indian youth icon Sharad Vivek Sagar has been selected as ‘2024 Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum. Sagar is the first person from Bihar and the youngest person in India to receive this honour. This honor has been given to the country’s heads of state, Nobel laureates and industrialists. In January 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a historic speech at the World Economic Forum held in Davos. Officials of the World Economic Forum announced the honor to Sagar on Thursday.

Born in Jiradei, Siwan, Sagar formed an organization called Dexterity Global 2008 at the age of just 16 and the students who have received training from this organization have received scholarships worth Rs 175 crore from the world’s top universities. The headquarters of this organization is in Patna. Sagar was in the news in the country and the world in 2016, when US President Barack Obama invited Young Leaders to the White House. He was the only youth to participate from the Indian side. Later, Nobel Peace Center also invited Sagar to the Nobel Prize ceremony.

Sagar is most in demand as an expert in the country’s most popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The list of Sagar’s achievements is quite long. At the age of just 24, he managed to make it to the Forbes Global 30 list. He is the only youth from Bihar to do this. Not only this, Sagar became the first Indian to become the President of Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Expressing happiness on this occasion, Sagar tweeted that this is a historic moment. It is a matter of pride for me to be selected for this honour.
