Bihar News: Mother dies, son injured in truck collision in Patna

Bihar News: The atmosphere of Chhath Puja turned into mourning after the death of two people in separate road accidents in Patna. In a road accident near Anisabad Golambar on Monday morning, a woman riding a scooter was crushed to death by a truck, leading to her untimely death. During the day, a woman and her son riding a bike were hit and crushed by a truck in front of Gaurichak police station, in which the woman died on the spot, while her son who was riding the bike was badly injured. Police have seized the truck and the body has been sent for post-mortem.

After the accident, there is chaos in the family of the deceased. Crying people reached Gaurichak police station, from where the family took him to Nalanda Medical College Hospital. The deceased woman has been identified as Meena Devi, a resident of Madhopur village of Didarganj police station area.

Angry people blocked the road

After the incident, people came out on the local streets and started protesting. The protesting people are demanding compensation for the family of the deceased. During this time, traffic near Gaurichak police station was affected for some time. However, later the police took the truck to the side and sent the body for post-mortem.

Accident while returning from Chhath Ghat

Meena Devi is said to be the wife of Rajkishore Chaudhary, resident of Madhopur of Didarganj police station. Family members said that Meena Devi was returning from her maternal home in Mathia under Dhanrua police station after attending Chhath Puja with her son Arvind Kumar and another person, when a truck hit them from behind near Gaurichak police station. As soon as the collision occurred, both of them fell on the road. Local people took the injured to the hospital, where doctors declared Meena Devi dead.

After this incident, the driver fled leaving the truck on the spot. Police have seized the truck and the search for the truck driver is on. Police say that the matter is being investigated and the accused will be arrested soon.
