Bihar News: Gopalganj Police has arrested former IAS and former Special Secretary of Chhattisgarh Excise Department, Arun Pati Tripathi, in the case of liquor scam of Rs 776 crore in Chhattisgarh. He was arrested from Sisai village of Bhore police station area. Police Captain Swarn Prabhat has confirmed the arrest.

Arun Pati Tripathi was absconding since January

SP said that a case of scam has been registered against Arun Prati Tripathi, an IAS cadre officer and former special secretary of Excise Department in Chhattisgarh. Arun Pati Tripathi, son of Prakash Pati Tripathi, resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, had come out of jail after being in jail for 9 months and was absconding after switching off his mobile since last January.

Arrest made from Gopalganj

SP said that on the input of Chhattisgarh Police, the police of Bhore police station area of ​​Gopalganj arrested Arun Pati Tripathi from Sisai village and handed him over to the ACB Police of Chhattisgarh. There is an ED case against them. At the same time, after the arrest, a video of former Special Secretary Arun Pati Tripathi has also surfaced, in which he is accusing him of being implicated in a conspiracy after the formation of a new government in Chhattisgarh.

According to media reports, a case of liquor scam worth Rs 776 crore had come to light in Chhattisgarh, in which the government filed an FIR for fresh investigation by ACB and EOW. In the FIR, 70 people including Arunpati Tripathi, a resident of Sisai of Bhore police station area of ​​Gopalganj and former special secretary of the excise department of Chhattisgarh and MD of Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited (CSMCL), were made accused.

Arun Pati Tripathi was absconding in this case. Gopalganj police arrested them from Sisai village of Bhore police station area and handed them over to the ACB police of Chhattisgarh.
