Bihar News Students studying in class 11th in degree colleges of the state have been protesting for the last five days against transfer of enrollment to Plus Two schools. After the process of enrollment transfer started, a large number of students gathered on Thursday and blocked the Income Tax Golambar. After this, a group of students reached the BJP and JDU headquarters located on Veerchand Patel Path, where they protested fiercely against the order of the Education Department.
Among them, the number of girl students was more. In view of the crowd of students, the gate of the BJP office was closed. A group of students had also gathered near the MLA flat. As the situation worsened, the police administration team also reached the spot. The agitating students were lathicharged in front of the BJP office, which created chaos. Some students were also taken into custody. After this, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary himself had to come. He assured that the students will take admission from wherever they are. After his assurance, the students’ protest ended. The students expressed happiness by applying gulal to each other.
BJP leaders also took to the streets on the arrest of protesting students
The SDO talked to the protesting students and tried to convince them. But the protesting students were continuously raising slogans against the education department. The police detained four students, which the students protested fiercely. BJP leaders also took to the streets against this action of the police. Due to this, Veerchand Patel Marg has become completely busy. After protests by BJP leaders, the police released the four students. The students allege that the police is threatening to file a case regarding election code of conduct and send them to jail.
Demonstration gained momentum after nomination transfer process started
According to the Education Department order, there will be no class 12 studies in degree colleges from the session 2024-25. For this, an order was issued to send students studying in class 11th to Plus Two schools in the session 2023-25. Students say that they have already paid the fees in the college, now from where will they get the money for transfer to Plus Two school. Bihar School Examination Committee has also issued an advertisement regarding transfer of nominations. Students studying in degree colleges will have to select Plus Two schools from 21st to 31st March. Students are demanding cancellation of this advertisement.
