Bihar: Muzaffarpur police did an encounter late at night, shot two criminals who had escaped from custody, both injured.

Muzaffarpur Police conducted an encounter late on Tuesday night. Two miscreants escaped from the custody of Sikandarpur police. Both of them were caught by the police with loot and weapons. While returning after getting treatment from SKMCH late on Tuesday evening, both of them jumped from the police jeep near Zeromile and ran away. A separate FIR has been registered in this regard. The search for the two criminals who had escaped began. Meanwhile the criminals started firing. In retaliation the police also opened fire. Both the criminals were shot in the legs.

Both miscreants escaped from police custody

It is said that Sikandarpur Police Station Officer Devvrat Kumar had raided and arrested three criminals including Santosh and Sachin of Ahiyapur in the afternoon. After interrogation, the police took all three to SKMCH for medical examination. While returning, Santosh and Sachin escaped after dodging the police. Information about the escape was given to the SSP and other officials. After this, a vehicle checking campaign was also conducted from the city to the rural areas. But nothing was found from both of them.

Police shot in retaliation

During the police investigation, around 2 o’clock on Tuesday night, both the criminals were shot and injured in an encounter. The police laid siege in Jhapha, on which both of them started firing. The bullet was fired towards the police, both of them were killed. Both of them have been admitted to SKMCH for treatment.
