Orange alert issued regarding heat
The IMD has already issued an orange alert for 10 districts including Patna, East and West Champaran and Purnea in view of the severe heat wave on Friday. While yellow alert has been issued for 16 districts including Darbhanga, Nawada and Nalanda. According to the Patna Meteorological Center, the temperature is expected to remain between 42 to 44 degree Celsius till June 10 in the north-eastern and southern regions.
There will be no respite from the heat in the northern and north-central districts of Bihar till June 12 and the temperature is likely to remain between 40 to 42 degree Celsius. Talking about Thursday, severe heat wave wreaked havoc in 16 districts including Patna, Nalanda and Vaishali. There was a heat wave alert in eight districts including Nawada, Jamui and Aurangabad. Khagaria remained the hottest in the state and recorded a maximum temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius on Thursday. After this, it was 44.1 degrees Celsius in Valmikinagar of West Champaran. Patna is also heating up badly, the maximum temperature recorded here on Thursday was 44 degree Celsius.
When will monsoon enter Bihar
Monsoon can enter Bihar between 13 and 14 June. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department has said that after Sunday, from June 10 to 12, it may rain at different places in the districts of North-East Bihar. But, monsoon clouds are likely to enter Bihar via Purnia between June 13 and 14. However, if there is a slight change in it, then this date can be of June 18 and 19. If this happens, then the people of Bihar may have to worry for a few more days due to the havoc of the heat.
