On Tuesday night, in Navkothi police station area of Begusarai district, a liquor smuggler hit Sub Inspector Khamas Choudhary, resident of Marad village of Rahika police station area, with an Alto car. Due to this, Khamas Chaudhary died. As soon as the news of his demise was heard, there was a mournful silence in his ancestral village Madar village of Rahika block of Madhubani district. Everyone’s face in the village looked sad. When people got this news early on Wednesday morning. So, a crowd of people gathered outside his house. The atmosphere inside the house was quite sad due to the lamentation of Khamas Chaudhary’s 70-year-old mother. Many women were surrounding the old mother in the courtyard of the house. She would faint while moaning. Khamas Chaudhary’s father has died. They were four brothers. Elder brother Umesh Lal Chaudhary is working as a grocer in Women’s College Madhubani, second is Sub Inspector Khamas Chaudhary, third is Santosh Chaudhary a teacher and fourth brother Ashok Chaudhary is a typist in the court.
Brother Ashok Chaudhary said that his brother Khamas Chaudhary was pushed under the bridge by liquor mafia around 12.30 pm on Tuesday night from an Alto car. Sister-in-law was informed about this at 5 am on Wednesday. Sister-in-law was at her maternal home in Sijoll, from there she went to Navkothi in Begusarai district at 5.15 in the morning. Later, his elder brother Umesh Chaudhary and middle brother Sanjay Chaudhary have left for Begusarai from Madar.
Khamas Chaudhary had come to the village 10 days ago
Villagers told that Sub Inspector Khamas Chaudhary of 2013 batch was of cheerful nature. His nature was simple and very friendly. Whenever he came to the village, he used to meet everyone in the village. Sub Inspector Khamas Chaudhary had come to the village during Chhath festival. From the village he had gone to his in-laws’ house in Sijaul. Ashok Chaudhary, brother of the deceased inspector, told that he had come to the village 10 days before after Chhath. Had gone for his duty after meeting his mother and the village people. The deceased sub-inspector has one son and three daughters. The eldest child is a son. Whose age is about 14 years.
Had prepared for competitive exam by taking tuition
Nephew Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary told that his uncle Khamas Chaudhary was of very friendly and cheerful nature. He always helped the needy. He completed his studies by taking tuition and teaching children in a coaching institute in Chakdah. During this time, he prepared for the competitive examination and passed the examination of Police Sub Inspector.
Used to help people going to Deoghar
Sub Inspector Khamas Choudhary’s posting was in Jamui district before coming to Begusarai. When he was posted at Chakia in Jamui, if his acquaintances or villagers from Madhubani district met him at Chakia while going to Deoghar or if they got to know that someone was coming from their area, then they used to offer obeisance to him on the way. Apart from providing food and water to the people, they also provided financial help when needed. Many people discussed this matter in the village. The entire Panchayat is saddened by the demise of Khamas Chaudhary. People have expressed condolences.
Punishment will be given through speedy trial: Sunil Kumar
In the case of Khamas Chaudhary’s murder, Prohibition and Registration Minister Sunil Kumar has said that a speedy trial will be conducted and the culprits involved in the incident will be given the harshest punishment. The district administration is investigating thoroughly. Will review as soon as the report comes. At the same time, the administration and the government are serious about ensuring that such incidents do not recur in the future.
Special team formed under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Bakhri
Here, the Police Headquarters has said that immediately after the incident, the Superintendent of Police of Begusarai has formed a special team under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Bakhri. The owner of the recovered Alto car has been arrested and is being interrogated. Further action is being taken by filing FIR. The criminals will be arrested soon and punished through speedy trial.
