Bihar in the grip of severe heat, relief will not be available till April 21, dangerous heat wave in 15 districts

The scorching heat wave continues in Bihar, on Monday, out of 15 districts of the state, severe heat wave occurred in three districts Motihari, Khagaria and Banka and fatal heat wave in 12 districts. The average maximum temperature of the state crossed 41 degree Celsius. April has the highest mercury so far.

No relief till 21st April

The highest temperature in the state was recorded at Sheikhpura at 43.4 degree Celsius. Such conditions of severe heatwave will remain in the state till April 21. On Monday, the highest temperature in Patna was 43.2 degree Celsius, Bhagalpur 42.0, Purnia 41, Supaul 40.6, Sabour 41.6, Motihari 41.5, Sheikhpura 43.4, Vaishali 41.7, Aurangabad 42.7, Khagaria 43.2, Banka 42.9, Katihar 40.6, 42.8 in Nawada, 42.7 degree Celsius was recorded in Harnaut. In all these places, the mercury remained four to five degrees above normal.

What does the Meteorological Department say about heat wave

The speed of heat wave in the state has been according to 10 to 30 kilometers per hour. IMD’s long range forecast has said that mercury will continue to be above normal in April. This year, the number of heat wave days will also be more than normal this month. Heat wave condition continues in Bihar. During this period, in general, the highest temperature in South Bihar was 42 degrees and in North Bihar it was 41 degrees.

Keep these things in mind in summer

  1. Drink more water: Drink more and more water, lemon water, juice and coconut water to avoid diarrhea, constipation and acidity problems.

  2. Eat less fried outside: Avoid eating fried food outside and any food being prepared in the open. In this season, there is a high risk of getting sick from contaminated food or water.

  3. Eat less salt in food: Eating too much salt is always harmful. Salt should be controlled in the summer season. Eating salt in moderation helps in controlling blood pressure.

  4. Take liquid diet: Take liquid diet as much as possible. Like dabh, lemon water, lassi, mango shake, sattu, vine syrup etc. Same rule here too, it should not be too cold nor should it contain ice.

  5. The amount of salad should be more: It would be good to start the day with sweet and juicy fruits in the summer season. Watermelon, melon or orange can be taken in the morning breakfast. Must eat onion and cucumber in the form of salad in lunch. This will remove digestive problems. Body temperature will also remain under control.
