In the districts of Kosi-Seemanchal and Angkshetra, more than half a dozen people have died due to drowning.
Two of four friends who went to bathe in the river in Supaul died due to drowning
Two teenage girls died on Thursday due to drowning in the Mirchaiya river of Bharatpur Tola, Ward No. 12, Pratapganj police station area, Tekuna Panchayat. According to the information, both the deceased teenagers had gone to the river to take bath. Meanwhile, she drowned due to going into deep water. On hearing the news of death, the family members are in a bad condition by crying. It is being told that Mamta Kumari, 17-year-old daughter of Ward No. 12 resident Virendra Yadav and Munni Kumari, 13-year-old daughter of Surendra Yadav, had gone to cut grass with her other friends. Due to extreme heat all the four girls started bathing in the river. In which Mamta and Munni’s feet slipped and she went into deep water. While two other girls ran away after seeing their friend drowning and reached the village and told their relatives that Mamta and Munni had drowned. By the time people from the village reached to take him out of the water, both had died. After a lot of research, the dead body of one girl was found at a short distance while the dead body of another girl was found about 2 kilometers away.
Two girls died due to drowning in a pond in Jamui
On Thursday, two girls died due to drowning in a pond in Pandit Tola located in Chinaveriya village under Lakshmipur police station area of Jamui. While the condition of a girl child remains critical. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. Both the dead bodies were sent for postmortem to Sadar Hospital and investigated. According to information, Kanchani Kumari, 10-year-old daughter of Lalan Pandit, Sanju Kumari, 14-year-old daughter of Dinesh Pandit and Anjani Kumari, 11-year-old daughter of Guddu Pandit, had gone to bathe in Kumhara pond located in the village along with other companions. Meanwhile, Sanju Kumari went into deep water.
Other girls also drowned while trying to save
Seeing her friend drowning in deep water, all the girls who were with her tried to save her. In this sequence, all went into deep water. Some girls somehow got out, but Kanchani Kumari, Sanju Kumari and Anjani Kumari started drowning. The people around ran after the girls who had gone to take bath made noise. Drowned in water Sanju, Kanchani, Anjali were pulled out. By then Sanju Kumari and Kanchani Kumari had died. Anjali Kumari’s breath was going on. People hurriedly ran with Anjali and admitted her to the hospital. He is under treatment.
Child died due to drowning in Munger pond
On Thursday, a 13-year-old boy who had gone to bathe in the diet located at Ladaiyatand Bahiyar under Dharhara in Munger was thrown into the deep water of the pond. In which the child died by drowning. It is said that Piyush Kumar, son of Manish Yadav, a resident of Ladayatand village, had gone to bathe in the diet along with his younger brother and companions. During this, when he started drowning in deep water, the brother made an uproar and called the villagers for help. But till then Piyush got into deep water. After which the body of the child was taken out of the water with the help of the villagers. Hearing the news of the child’s death, there was hue and cry among the family members. The dead body was sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Teenager dies due to drowning in Saura river of Purnia
Vijay Kumar, 17-year-old son of Kallu Bind of Ward No. 19 of Town Council town of Purnia, died due to drowning in Soura river Dhar located in Mirzabari. Regarding the incident, it was told that on Wednesday afternoon, Vijay Kumar had gone to bathe in the Soura river Dhar located in Mirzabari along with his four companions. During this he drowned in deep water. On the information of the incident, the local people searched a lot in the river but could not find it. On the other hand, on Thursday, the Zonal Officer of Kasba and the Police Station President of Kasba reached the spot along with the local divers. Vijay Kumar’s body was recovered after hours of effort. After the incident, a wave of mourning spread in the family of the deceased.
