Bihar government is giving 75 percent grant for gardening, know how to apply

Bihar Mukhyamantri Bagwani Yojana: If you live in the city and do not have space for farming, then this news is very special for you. Actually, on the rooftop of your house gardening can do. For which you will also be given a grant of 75 percent. Apart from growing fruits and vegetables, you can also plant medicinal plants in it. Application for this has started. The government has started the rooftop gardening scheme from 2019 itself. However, earlier only 50 percent grant was given under this scheme of the Directorate of Agriculture. This time, among the projects being run under the scheme, there is a scheme for farming beds and pots.

To avail the benefits of these schemes, you can apply on the website horticulture.bihar.govt.in. For the application, along with filling the necessary information, you will also have to upload photo identity card, passport size photo, electricity bill or municipal receipt and photo of vacant roof. After this, you will be contacted soon and you will be given the benefits of the scheme.

300 square feet open terrace required

For Farming Bed Scheme, it is necessary to have 300 square feet of open space on the roof of the house. The total cost in this is Rs 50 thousand, in which a grant of Rs 37,500 will be given and the remaining Rs 12,500 will have to be paid by the beneficiary. In this, it will be payable for maximum two units (private residence) and five units (institution/apartment).

At the same time, under the pot scheme, the unit cost is Rs 10 thousand, in which a grant of Rs 7500 will be given and the remaining Rs 2,500 will have to be paid by the beneficiary. For this, a maximum of five units can be availed by any applicant. The benefit of this grant is not payable to any institution.

Which plants will be grown for which grant will be given?

According to the notification issued by the Bihar government, grants will be given on these plants to be planted in various ways.

  • Vegetable : Brinjal, tomato, chilli, cabbage, carrot, radish, ladyfinger, leafy vegetables, pumpkin etc.

  • Fruit : Guava, Kaggi lemon, Papaya (Red Lady), Mango (Amrapali), Pomegranate, Fig etc.

  • medicinal plants : Aloe vera, curry leaves, vasaka, lemon grass, ashwagandha etc.

  • Plants to be grown in 10 inch pot: Tulsi, Ashwagandha, Aloe Vera, Stevia, Mint etc.

  • Plants to be grown in 12 inch pot: Snake plant, Ifon, Money, Rose, Chandni etc.

  • Plants to grow in 14 inch pot: Erica Palm, Ficus Panda, Adenium, Aparajita, Curry Leaf, Bhutanese Mallika, Starlight Ficus, Tecoma, Allamanda, Bougainvillea etc.

  • Plants to be grown in 16 inch pot: Guava, mango, lemon, sapota, banana, apple plum, rubber plant, xmas, croton, peacock plant, uradhal etc.
