Bihar: Ganga water started reaching homes in Nawada, CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated water treatment plant.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave a big gift to Nawada on Friday. CM has started the second phase of his dream project Ganga Water Supply Scheme from Nawada. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday formally inaugurated the water treatment plant built under the Ganga Water Supply Scheme in Paura village of Sadar block. Now the supply of Ganga water as drinking water has started in thousands of houses. The inauguration program of Ganga water supply scheme was organized in Panchayat Paura under Nawada Sadar block. In which Water Resources Minister Sanjay Jha was also present with the CM.

Inauguration of water treatment plant

Nitish Kumar stayed at the inauguration ceremony in Nawada for about half an hour. The helicopter carrying him landed at the helipad built in Paura village. Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Chief Minister Ganga Water Supply Scheme here. After inspecting the water treatment plant, the CM himself drank Ganga water and then departed from Nawada. Now the city residents have started getting Ganga water as drinking water.

Pure Ganga water will reach thousands of homes

Ganga water will now be supplied to the residents of Nawada as pure drinking water from the water treatment plant. Due to this great effort of Bihar government, there has been amazing development in the drinking water sector. This scheme will provide relief to the problem of falling groundwater level in Nawada city. The Ganga Water Supply Scheme has been implemented keeping in mind the population growth that will occur till the year 2051. Due to the visionary thinking of the government, the coming generations will also get complete relief from the drinking water problem. This scheme will provide relief from floods and drinking water crisis. 135 liters of pure drinking water will be available per person every day. This Ganga water supply scheme is being operated under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan.

Tight security arrangements for CM’s arrival

Let us tell you that all the top officials of the district administration had given their full strength regarding the arrival of the CM and the program. All the officers remained continuously engaged to ensure that there was no gap in the Chief Minister’s programme. The program was held in the water treatment plant area. For this, extensive security arrangements were made in this area. A helipad was made inside the water treatment plant area, from where the officials were given the tasks to take them to the venue and complete all the arrangements till the completion of the program. Ganga water supply site Paura was inspected by District Magistrate Nawada and Superintendent of Police Nawada. All officers were instructed to maintain law and order by being present at their respective places of deputation. Extensive security arrangements were made at the water treatment plant Paura. No one was allowed entry without a pass, while security was being monitored through drone cameras, CCTV etc. To maintain law and order, a large number of armed police forces along with magistrates and police officers were deputed at more than 40 places. Along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, many ministers and senior officials of the state administration also participated in the program.
