Cyber Crime In Bihar: Cyber crime cases have increased rapidly in Bihar. Such cases come to light every day where cyber thugs make people their victims. By laying different traps, cyber thugs trap people and then extort money from them. They are also misusing social media a lot. Many cases of extorting money from people by creating fake accounts have come to light before. These vicious people are so fearless that they have no fear even of the police. They make fake IDs of even senior police officers and then try to defraud policemen too. There are two recent cases where a fake account of DG Surveillance was created on Facebook. An attempt was made to defraud the police station officer by creating a fake ID in the name of DIG of Bettiah Range.
Created fake account of DG of surveillance
A new exploit of cyber miscreants has come to light. Cyber criminals who create fake accounts on social media to deceive people and extort money from them, this time created a fake Facebook account of Director General (DG) of Surveillance Investigation Bureau, Alok Raj. A vicious person is trying to cheat by creating his Facebook profile. When DG Alok Raj himself got this information, he was stunned. A case has been registered on the written statement of the Director General. The police is investigating the case. In fact, when he received a complaint from some people, the Director General investigated the matter and found that some vicious person had created his fake Facebook profile. After this the Director General has filed a written complaint in the cyber police station.
Attempt to cheat the police station by making fake ID of DIG
Recently in Bhagalpur, cyber thugs tried to cheat the police station officer. However, the police station became alert ahead of time. They saved themselves from becoming victims of fraud by getting entangled in this web of cyber fraud. Information has been received that cyber thugs have created a fake ID in the name of Bettiah Range DIG Jayant Kant. Cyber thugs tried to make a police station their victim with this ID.
The police station confirmed with the DIG and the truth came out.
A cyber thug messaged Mojahidpur police station chief Devanand Paswan of Bhagalpur with the fake ID of the DIG. It was said in the message that the health of a constable has deteriorated. Funds are needed for this. Immediately after the message, the said thug made a WhatsApp call to the police station officer. Through the call, an unknown person called and asked to collect funds. But from the way he talked, the police officer sensed that something was definitely wrong. After this the SHO himself talked to DIG Jayant Kant. After which it was revealed that he had escaped becoming a victim of cyber fraud. The police station also told the DIG about his fake ID. The police station officer said that action is being taken in the matter.
