Bihar News: Due to increase in rain activity, the water level of river Ganga has started rising. The water level of river Ganga and Kosi river has increased by three centimetres. Due to the continuous rains in other parts of Bihar including Bhagalpur for two days, the spate has started again in other rivers including Ganga and Kosi. According to the forecast issued by the Water Resources Department, Patna at 2 pm on Monday, the water level of river Ganga has increased by one centimeter and that of Kosi river by three centimetres, while the water level of both the important rivers of the district was decreasing for the last three-four days. Here, there is water pressure on the banks of the Ganges in the city. The Ganges river is 2.45 meters away from the danger mark of 33.68 metres. The water level of the river in Bhagalpur was 31.23 meters on Friday. The water level of river Ganga is rising from Prayagraj, Varanasi, Buxar, Patna and Munger to Bhagalpur. Here, the water level of Kosi river in Navgachia sub-division also increased by three centimeters to reach 28.77 meters. The Kosi river in Kursela is currently 1.23 meters away from the danger mark of 30 metres.
