Bihar: Driver forgot to stop the train at the station, after realizing his mistake he did this on the middle bridge

Many such news related to trains often come in Bihar, which are surprising to hear. In this sequence, an incident happened in Chhapra which you will be surprised to know about. Here the loco pilot of the train did not know where to stop the train and he kept moving forward crossing the station with the train. After this, when the driver realized his mistake, he stopped the train at the middle bridge. The train stood on the bridge for about 20 minutes. During this time, the breathing of the passengers sitting in the train and waiting at the station remained held. This incident happened near Manjhi Halt located on Chhapra-Ballia railway section of North Eastern Railway.

Instead of stopping at the halt, the Utsarg Express train stopped on the bridge.

Actually, the train going from Chhapra to Farrukhabad left Chhapra Junction at its scheduled time at 6 pm on Wednesday. After this the train stopped at its first stoppage, passengers boarded the train and the train started from there. After this, the next stoppage of the train was Manjhi Halt Station. But instead of stopping at this station, the train moved ahead. There was chaos among those who had to board the train. After this, as soon as the loco pilot realized his mistake, the train was quickly stopped on the bridge over the Saryu river. After this the train driver talked to the officials and brought the train back to the station.

Passengers waiting at the station were surprised

On Wednesday evening, many passengers were waiting at the halt at Manjhi halt station with tickets for Lucknow, Ballia and other stations. When the train opened from Manjhi new railway station, dozens of passengers kept waiting at the halt. But, the train stopped in the middle of the bridge. The train stood on the bridge for about 20 minutes. A video of this is also going viral on social media. Later, the guard and the driver coordinated among themselves and brought the train back to the halt. DRM Varanasi has ordered investigation into this matter. Even if the facts come to light, action will be taken on that basis.

Major incident averted due to the wisdom of passengers

If the passengers on board the Utsarg Express had not shown intelligence, many passengers could have lost their lives. Because as soon as the train got off the footing of the railway bridge where it was standing, one could have fallen 50 feet into the Saryu River. Not only this, passengers running on the railing of the railway bridge while boarding the train could also become victims of an accident while boarding. It would be considered a mere coincidence that despite this huge human error on the part of the driver of Utsarg Express, an unexpected accident was averted. The train had crossed Manjhi Halt just 500 meters earlier and unknown passengers could get down from the train in the darkness of the night, mistaking the bridge for a platform.

What does PRO say?

Information has been received about the incident related to the train not stopping at Manjhi halt and coming back to the halt after stopping at the bridge some distance ahead. Local officials have also been questioned. Action will be taken in this matter after collecting complete information. -Ashok Kumar, PRO, North Eastern Railway, Varanasi Division

Earlier also the train stopped on the bridge instead of stopping at the halt.

Utsarg Express not stopping at Manjhi Halt on Chhapra-Ballia railway section of North Eastern Railway is not the first case. Earlier also the train had stopped at the bridge instead of stopping at the halt. Then it came back to the halt from the bridge, then passengers boarded and deboarded the train. Even at that time the passengers were perplexed as to why the train did not stop. But, after some time the train returned again. Similarly, last Wednesday, instead of stopping at Manjhi halt, the train stopped at the railway bridge. After waiting for a long time the train returned from the railway bridge.
