Bihar: Dozens of trains affected due to fog, capital reached 17 hours late on third day, 16 flights cancelled.

Bihar News: Operations have been disrupted due to fog in Bihara. Passengers are facing problems. Due to dense fog, air travel at Patna airport was disrupted throughout the day. Nine flights coming here and seven leaving here were cancelled. The first landing at Patna airport took place at 11:22 am and the first flight departed at 12:06 pm. Planes arrived and departed with a delay of more than four hours. The most delayed Air India flight arrived from Mumbai. Instead of 1:20 pm, he came at 5:21 pm. Indigo flight took off for Delhi with the longest delay in taking off from here. The plane was to take off at 12:00 noon, but it could take off at 4:42 pm. Passengers remained worried for hours at the airport due to such a large number of flights being canceled and delayed.

Of these, two aircraft were delayed by more than four hours, four aircraft were delayed by more than two hours and more than six aircraft were late by more than an hour.

Rajdhani is later than Magadha

Due to fog, there is a brake on the speed of trains. Mahananda Express had to be canceled due to dense fog. At the same time, Tejas Rajdhani Express coming from Delhi to Patna is also running late than Magadh Express. For the third consecutive day, it reached the junction late by 17 hours, while Magadh Express was late by 11 hours. Similarly, Sampoorna Kranti Express arrived late by 14 hours, Shramjeevi by one hour, Vikramshila by seven hours, Purva Express by 16 hours, Brahmaputra Mail by seven hours and 16 minutes, Islampur-Hatia Express by 10 hours, Howrah-Patna Jan Shatabdi by 45 minutes. Apart from this, some passenger trains also got delayed due to fog. Most of the trains going towards Delhi are getting late. Railways says that due to fog, the speed of trains has been reduced to 60 km per hour, hence operations have been affected. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety and security of the passengers.

Effect of track maintenance and fog on Rajdhani Express

Due to ongoing track maintenance and fog on various railway sections of UP and Bihar, train operations are being continuously affected. Many trains including Rajdhani Express passing through Muzaffarpur arrived quite late. Due to this, the passengers traveling in the train and waiting at the junction had to face a lot of trouble amidst the severe cold. Rajdhani Express (20503) arrived late by 1.05 hours. New Delhi-Darbhanga 12566 Down Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast reached Muzaffarpur late by 23.52 hours. The train left from New Delhi on 13 January and reached Saharsa at 5 pm on 15 January. The train, which opened on 14 January, is expected to reach Saharsa on the morning of 16 January.
