Bihar Crime News: Farmers in Diara area of Bhagalpur are not able to get relief from the incidents of extortion. In the latest case, the incident of heavy firing on farmers by criminals has come to light again in Diara area of the district. The incident took place in Daulatpur Bahiyar of Bath police station area of Sultanganj in the district, where on Tuesday morning, two farmers Mukesh and Karelal of Daulatpur village had gone to the fields to bring straw. Meanwhile the criminals started firing.
A farmer died due to bullet injury
During the firing, farmer Mukesh Kumar of Daulatpur got hit by a bullet. Due to which he died on the spot. Farmer Karelal Mandal was also hit by a bullet. Farmer Karelal saved his life by running away while injured.
Police from several police stations reached the spot
As soon as information about the incident was received, police from several police stations reached the spot. The police took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and started further investigation. Here the injured farmer was sent to Mayaganj hospital for treatment.
Diara area plagued by extortion
Police said that the matter is being investigated. The matter is said to be related to extortion. It is known that in Diara area of Bhagalpur, incidents of crop theft and extortion have been taking the lives of farmers every year. This time also it has started. In Diara area, the police even claims to be combing the area with the cavalry squad, but every year Holi of blood is being played in this area.
