Bihar: Cold had an impact on train and plane flights, Rajdhani arrived late by 15 hours, know the condition of other trains.

People are facing different problems due to fog. Passengers are especially facing problems. Visibility is not good due to fog. Due to this, there is delay in flight and train. Tejas Rajdhani is late by 15 hours 30 minutes. At the same time, Sampoormkranti was delayed by 14 hours. Because of this, passengers have to wait at the railway station for a long time. At the same time, they are facing different problems due to cold. Fog is affecting train operations. Due to delay on Sunday, Tejas Express has been dispatched at 6 am.

These trains were late..

Due to fog for the past few days, many trains have been running late. New Delhi Howrah Express was also delayed by 13 hours. At the same time, many districts of Bihar are experiencing severe cold. The temperature is continuously falling. Due to this, normal life has been completely affected. The speed of trains has also slowed down due to dense fog. Along with this, aircraft flights have also been affected. The fast running Delhi Patna Tejas Rajdhani Express is able to cover the distance from Delhi to Patna in 24 to 27 hours instead of 12 hours. Railway administration is also canceling trains due to delay. Despite this, trains continue to run late. On Saturday, Rajdhani reached Patna late by 15 hours 30 minutes. Due to late arrival of the train, now this train left UP from Patna Junction 11 hours late at 6 am on Sunday. Similarly, Sampoorna Kranti Express 14 hours, Vikramshila 13 hours, Shramjeevi 2 hours 30 minutes, Magadha 12 hours, Mahananda 2 hours, Brahmaputra Mail 10 hours, Garib Rath 6 hours, Islampur Patna Hatia Express 9 hours, Vibhuti 2 hours, Farakka 2 hours. Punjab Mail reached Patna Junction late by 10 minutes and 36 minutes late.

Passengers upset due to train being late

There is no improvement in the timings of Islampur Express and Sampoorna Kranti Express coming from Delhi. Passengers seem quite upset due to the train being late. They are taking more time to reach their destination. Many passengers are forced to spend the night at the railway station. At the same time, due to the departure of Rajdhani Express the next day, most of the passengers have to spend the night on the platform itself. The problems of the passengers have increased due to the train not running on time. Howrah Jammu Tawi Himgiri Super Fast Express was also delayed. Apart from this, Lokmanya Tilak Bhagalpur Guwahati Express, New Delhi Islampur Magadh Express, Delhi Kamakhya Brahmaputra Mail Express, Anand Vihar Bhagalpur Vakrimshila Superfast Express, Anand Vihar Bhagalpur Garibrath Express, New Delhi Howrah Rajdhani Superfast Express are also running behind schedule.

Railways took many decisions

On one hand, the passengers are worried due to the delay of the train, on the other hand, many decisions are being taken by the Railways regarding the operation of the train. Many trains are being stopped at additional stations, while the routes of many trains have also been changed. Here, a high level meeting was organized by General Manager Anil Kumar Khandelwal at the Headquarters, Hajipur. In this high-level meeting, the achievements of East Central Railway in various fields including smooth rail operations, safety, passenger convenience/security, rail development projects and the action plans determined for the future were reviewed. Additional General Manager Shri Tarun Prakash, Head of Department of Headquarters, Sonpur, Samastipur, Danapur, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Divisional Railway Manager of Dhanbad Division and other officers were present in the meeting. The General Manager held an in-depth discussion on important issues related to passenger convenience, safety etc. with all the Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers of East Central Railway Headquarters. Along with this, the General Manager was informed about the achievements of their respective divisions and the work being done and the targets set through power point presentation on behalf of the five divisions in the meeting. While reviewing the works related to the development of infrastructure, the General Manager stressed on completing it within the stipulated time limit.

‘Technology of railway operation has advanced’

During the meeting, the General Manager especially emphasized on the use of new technology in monitoring the ongoing projects in East Central Railway as well as in the implementation of new schemes. Giving top priority to safety, the General Manager said that railway operations depend on following safety rules. There should be no compromise with safety. He said that the technology of railway operation has now advanced a lot, hence our main objective should be to eliminate the scope of human errors in railway operation by using modern safety equipment. He laid emphasis on timely operation of trains and stressed on bringing further improvements in it. Drawing attention to cleanliness, the General Manager laid special emphasis on cleanliness of platforms, railway premises, trains and bed rolls and issued necessary instructions to higher officials in this regard.
