A state in Eastern India: The names of girl students will be added on the new portal of Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana from Friday. In the review meeting held on Thursday by the department, all universities were instructed to upload the names of girl students who have passed their graduation from April 2021 to October 2022 on the portal. In the first phase, the portal was opened in February, but was closed on 13 March. Meanwhile, the girl students whose names were not on the portal were asked to submit mark sheets and other documents. DSW Prof. Abhay Kumar Singh told that the applications of girl students which will come till May 5, will be uploaded.

So far the names of more than 19 thousand girl students have been added

Under the scheme, girl students applying on the new portal will get Rs 50,000. So far the names of more than 19 thousand girl students have been added. To take advantage of the scheme, girl students will have to apply in this regard to the DSW office. After uploading the data of all girl students from the university, a letter will be sent to the department, on the basis of which the process of verification from the state office will be completed. The university has to give an affidavit that the girl students whose names are uploaded on the portal have passed graduation from the concerned university. After which the incentive amount will be sent to the girl students in their bank account.

If the related subject is not recognized by the government, then there is no benefit of the scheme.

On the other hand, the decision has not yet been taken by the department to give the benefit of the scheme to the girl students who have passed self-finance and vocational courses conducted in the constituent colleges of many universities. The displeasure of the girl students is also increasing regarding this. Everyday such girl students are reaching the university. He says that when he got admission in the college, he did not know whether the concerned subject is recognized by the government or not. This is the fault of the university and college administration, so why are the girl students getting punished for it.
