Bihar: Changes in traffic due to Chhath Puja, vehicles will not run in these areas, check the route before leaving home.

Chhath Puja 2023: Now only two days are left for Chhath Puja in Bihar. In such a situation, changes have been made in the traffic arrangements during this period. The arrangements made for movement of vehicles will remain in force from 12 noon to 7 pm on November 19 and from 2 am to 8 am on November 20 and after that will become normal as before. Most of the ghats of Patna are adjacent to Ashok Rajpath. Therefore, no vehicles of any kind will ply from Kargil Chowk to Didarganj via East Ashok Rajpath. Besides, all entry points will also remain closed. For parking of vehicles in Patna College and Science College campus only from Khazanchi Road, only Chhathvrat vehicles will be allowed to operate. On November 19, from 2 am to 5.30 pm and on November 20, from 3 am to 6 am, vehicular movement will be closed from Digha Mod to Ashiana Mod (from north to south).

Vehicles will run through this route

Vehicles going towards Gaighat can directly go towards Gaighat from Old Bypass or New Bypass via Dhanuki Mor, Shitala Mata Temple or Biscoman Golambar and can park the vehicles at the nearby parking lot. There will be a ban on the movement of tempos and other commercial vehicles under the Gaighat bridge between 12 noon on 19th November and 10 am on 20th November. Entry of all types of commercial vehicles except the vehicles of Chhathvratis will be prohibited from Bypass Police Station turn via Chowk Shikarpur ROB. Vehicles of Chhathvartis going from Chowk Shikarpur ROB towards Purba Morcha Road and Purba Darwaza will be parked under Guru Gobind Singh ROB and near Patna Sahib station. There will be a ban on entry of all types of vehicles coming to Patna City from New Bypass, Karamlichak turn. Entry of all types of commercial vehicles from Didarganj to Ashok Rajpath has been stopped.

Ban on operation of vehicles in many areas

There will be a ban on movement of vehicles on JP Setu from 2 pm to 6.30 pm on 19th November from Sonpur and Chapra towards Patna and from 5 pm to 7 pm from Patna towards Sonpur or Chapra. Whereas on November 20, the movement of vehicles will be closed from 3 am to 6 am from Sonpur or Chapra towards Patna and from 6 am to 8 am from Patna towards Sonpur or Chapra. From above Ramjichak ROB, only vehicles of Chhathvartis will be allowed to come on JP Setu and parking of these vehicles will be done above Ramjichak. General vehicles coming to JP Setu from Rupaspur Canal Road can go to JP Setu from below instead of climbing over Ramjichak ROB. Movement of normal vehicles will be restricted from Atal Path towards JP Setu and Sonpur on November 19 from 11 am to 2 am and on November 20 from 2 am to 9 am.

Traffic arrangements for vehicular movement at Chhath Ghat

Vehicles of Chhathvratis coming to Patipul, Digha Ghat, Shiva Ghat and Minar Ghat can be parked at the parking lot of the respective ghat. Chhathavrati vehicles coming from Ashok Rajpath under Atal Path and Digha Post Office Road will be parked in the western empty space from Surya Mandir Chowhatta to Patipul underpass. Gate number 93: All small and big vehicles of Chhathvartis coming to Digha Ghat will enter from gate number 93 and exit from gate number 92. Vehicles will exit from Gate No. 93 only after the entry of vehicles from Gate No. 93 is closed. Vehicles going to gate number 88 and ghat number 83 can enter directly from Ashok Rajpath and go through the underpass of Ganga Path and parking of these vehicles will be done at the designated places to the north of Ganga Path. There will be a complete ban on movement of all vehicles on both the flanks on JP Ganga Path from Digha Golambar to Gaighat. Vehicles going to Pehalwan Ghat and Bans Ghat will go straight from Ashok Rajpath to North JP Ganga Path underpass till the parking lot towards the ghat and will park the vehicles in the parking space on the right and left side of the road. Vehicles going to Kurji Ghat can enter from Kurji turn and park the vehicles in the designated parking space north of JP Ganga Path from the underpass of JP Ganga Path. Vehicles going to the Collectorate and Mahendru Ghat will turn north right i.e. east from the underpass at the JP Ganga Path turn in front of the Commissioner’s Office, pass under the JP Ganga Path and park in the designated parking space west of the ghat exit. Or you can park your vehicles inside Gandhi Maidan and go to the ghat on foot.

Arrangement of traffic movement on new bypass and other routes

During the period from 10 am on November 19 to 10 am on November 20, heavy vehicles coming from Barh and Mokama to Patna will operate via Bihta-Sarmera road via NH 30, taking a U-turn two kilometers west of Fatuha Overbridge. . Heavy vehicles coming east from Bihta will move from Bihta to Kanhauli turn via Bihta-Sarmera road and will come near Fatuha overbridge in New Bypass. Municipal Bus Service: The bus going from Bailey Road to Danapur or Khagaul via Patna Junction, GPO will not come to Kargil Chowk and will be parked inside Gandhi Maidan gate number 10.
