Bihar cabinet expansion: 4 MLCs among 5 BJP leaders became ministers for the first time, now 30 ministers including CM in the government

Bihar cabinet has been expanded. The first expansion of the new NDA government formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish government was done on Friday. In this, a total of 21 new ministers were sworn in by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also attended the swearing-in ceremony held at Rajendra Mandapam of Raj Bhavan.

First woman MLA took oath

BJP’s Renu Devi was the first to take oath. BJP’s Nitish Mishra and Hari Sahni took oath in Maithili. Till now, there were a total of nine ministers including the Chief Minister in the new NDA government formed in the state on January 28. The Election Commission is going to announce the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday. Just a day before this, the cabinet was expanded.

Now the number of ministers in the government has increased to 30 including the Chief Minister. Earlier in the afternoon, when the list of names of BJP quota ministers was made available to the Chief Minister, the swearing-in ceremony was finalized. BJP and JDU MLAs have got place among the new ministers. Among them, there are 12 ministers from BJP and nine from JDU. Overall, the number of JDU ministers in the government became 12 except Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. At the same time, the number of BJP ministers has increased to 15.

According to the provision, a maximum of 36 ministers can be made in the government. According to this, six more ministers can be made. We party could not get any additional place in the cabinet expansion.

In the cabinet expansion, five ministers were made for the first time. These include the names of BJP’s Santosh Kumar Singh, Surendra Mehta, Kedar Gupta, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal and Hari Sahni. Four of the new ministers are members of the Legislative Council.
