Bihar Cabinet Decision: Big gift to engineering students, Panchayat buildings will be constructed

In the meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a total of 14 proposals including internship proposal for seventh semester engineering students were approved. Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth said that students studying in 38 government engineering colleges of the state have been given approval for internship in physical mode. Apart from state government corporations, boards, societies, students will be able to do internship in organizations like Road Construction Department, Building Construction Department, Urban Development and Housing Department, PHED, Water Resources Department, Education Department, Health Department and Energy Department.

Project report has to be made

They will have to prepare a project report during this period. After submitting the complete project report and evaluating it by the committee constituted at the institute level, it will be transferred directly online to the student’s bank account. The student will have to arrange for the laptop himself, while internet at the workplace and other necessary items for training will be provided by the identified departments, corporations, boards and societies. Students of seventh semester will have to apply on the online portal being developed for this.

New Panchayat government buildings will be constructed

New Panchayat government buildings will be constructed in 2165 gram panchayats in the state. For this, the government has sanctioned a total amount of Rs 6010 crore. Of the new Panchayat government buildings, 1082 buildings will be constructed in flood affected areas while 1083 buildings will be constructed in normal areas. Dr. S. Siddharth told that there are 8053 gram panchayats in the state. In these, Panchayat government buildings are to be constructed phase wise. So far, approval has been given for construction of 4236 Panchayat government buildings.

Village Court’s court room will be built

Every Panchayat government building has a seating area for elected representatives and Panchayat level personnel, court room of village court, safe keeping place for records, store, hall for meetings of Panchayat standing committees, reception room for citizens, storage room for important personnel. Provision has been made for residential blocks, service centers to provide computerized services, stores, pantries and toilets. Provision for two additional large halls has also been made in the Panchayat Government Building to be built in the flood affected areas. In such a situation, a total of Rs 2 crore 86 lakh 30 thousand will be spent on the construction of every Panchayat Government building of 8924 square feet in the flood affected areas. Panchayat government building will be constructed in 6600 square feet in common areas at a cost of Rs 1 crore 99 lakh 92 thousand.

Examination fee of 3 lakh 46 thousand 777 office attendants waived

Additional Chief Secretary said that direct recruitment is to be done on the posts of office attendants in the regional offices of the Science, Technical and Technical Education Department. Under the advertisement number 02-2022, applications of a total of three lakh 46 thousand 777 candidates have been received. No examination fee was charged from the applicants under this advertisement. Their written examination is to be conducted by Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Patna. A total of Rs 14 crore will be spent on his examination. The government has waived off the examination fees of the applicants and the candidates will get the opportunity to appear in the examination to be conducted without paying the examination fee.
