This decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the people. After this, buses will no longer ply from Bankipur bus stand and buses will not go here. The bus will run from JP Ganga Path. Along with this, the bus stand has been removed from Gandhi Maidan. At the same time, buses have been stopped at Marine Drive. With this happening, people will now get freedom from jam. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing traffic. There is frequent problem of traffic jam in Gandhi Maidan area. Due to this people have to face problems. Construction work of metro is also going on near Gandhi Maidan. The road has also been blocked regarding this. At the same time, the bus will run from Ashok Rajpath. This decision has been taken by the traffic police.

Earlier, 350 buses used to ply every day from Bankipur bus stand located at Gandhi Maidan. Of these, 160 buses were for city service. Along with this, other buses used to go to Purnia, Muzaffarpur, Biharsharif, Darbhanga, Samastipur and many other districts. The most important thing is that due to the bus stand being close to Patna Junction, the pressure of passengers is more here. Buses will no longer ply from here. Buses will operate from JP Ganga Path. Now the bus will also start from this place. People will get relief from the jam. It is known that people often had to remain stuck in traffic jams for several hours near Gandhi Maidan.

Buses will be parked on JP Gangapath

The operation of government and private buses has been banned from Kargil Chowk. A decision has been taken regarding the traffic jam around Gandhi Maidan due to the construction work of Patna Metro. Now these buses will be parked on Gangapath and will go to their destination from there only. Buses will run on Ashek Rajpath as before. In case of emergency or marriage, buses will be allowed to operate in Gandhi Maidan and its surrounding areas. People will have to go from JP Ganga Path to catch the bus. All the buses, which have been banned from running through Kargil Chowk, will now be parked at JP Gangapath and will move here and there from there only. People who have to ride in government or private buses. Now people will have to catch the bus near JP Gangapath or Children Park. Buses operated from Ramgoolam Chowk via Goria Toli, Bhattacharya Road to Kargil Chowk via JP Golambar at the bus stand. She will now go from JP Golambar to JP Gangapath via Children Park, Commissioner’s Office. Buses will also be parked at JP Gangapath and will return via the same route. Buses coming from Patna Junction and Dakbungla intersection will park at Children Park via JP Golambar and at JP Gangapath via Commissioner’s Office. No bus will operate through Chhajjubagh. Traffic SP Puran Kumar Jha has given information. He has told that parking of buses will now be on JP Gangapath only. Please note that this route had already been decided.

People will get ease in transportation

The new arrangement had already been decided by the traffic department. JP Ganga Path was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Now buses will open from here. With its commencement, traffic to Gaighat has become much better. The traffic pressure on Ashok Rajpath has also reduced considerably. At the same time, with the shifting of the bus stand, the problem of jam in Gandhi Maidan police station area will be reduced and people will find it much easier to commute.
