A BPSC teacher and her two-year-old daughter died in a horrific road accident in Katihar. This accident happened on National Highway 81. A 32-year-old teacher died on the spot when a bus and a bike collided near Kolasi bridge on Katihar-Gedabari road. Whereas the teacher’s 2-year-old daughter also died during treatment. The deceased have been identified as BPSC teacher Nidhi Kumari and her daughter Vedanshi Kumari.
According to the information received, on Thursday, BPSC teacher Nidhi Kumari, posted in the upgraded middle school Makaipur of Kodha block area, was going to school on bike with her innocent daughter Vedanshi (age 2 years) along with her colleague teacher Suraj Kumar of the same school. Meanwhile, the bike collided with a passenger bus going from Gedabari towards Katihar near Kolasi bridge. In the collision between the two vehicles, teacher Nidhi Kumari died on the spot. While Vedanshi, the innocent daughter of teacher Suraj Kumar and Nidhi Kumari who was riding the bike, got seriously injured.
Local people immediately informed Kolasi police about the incident. After which, as soon as the information was received, Kolasi police reached the spot and sent both the injured for treatment. Both the injured were referred to the higher centre. Police took the body of teacher Nidhi Kumari (age 32 years) into custody, prepared Panchnama and sent the body for post-mortem. The teacher’s innocent daughter also died during treatment.
It is being told about the incident that teacher Nidhi Kumari was going to the upgraded high school Makaipur Kodha on a bike with her colleague computer teacher Suraj Kumar, carrying her two-year-old daughter Vedanshi alias Happy Kumari in her lap. Teacher Kodha was working in Makaipur Upgraded High School of Kolasi. Teacher Nidhi Kumari is said to be a resident of Kurthol village of Patna. His maternal home is in Aurangabad, Bihar.
Last year in the month of November itself, after passing BPSC TRE1, Nidhi Kumari Kodha was deputed to Makaipur High School. The teacher’s husband Vedprakash works in a private company in Hyderabad. Kolasi police has informed the family members of deceased teacher Nidhi Kumari about the incident. As soon as information about the accident was received, a crowd of nearby villagers gathered at the incident site. The condition of the teacher riding the bike who was injured in this incident is said to be normal after first aid. The police have seized both the damaged vehicles and are busy in further action.
