I informed Sarita Didi of the organization about my marriage. Then she explained it to my family and the marriage was stopped. Now she is studying engineering. -Archana Pal, Madhubani

  • My marriage was fixed in November last year. The person I was getting married to was 13 years old and I was 17 years old. At that time I informed this to Udaan Action Aid Association where the team of girls stopped this marriage. This time I will give 12th exam. • My father passed away in 2012 and my mother in 2016. She used to study in Delhi but had to come back to her grandmother. In the year 2016, at the age of 14, Nani fixed the marriage. I was against it, so I expressed my views to Anil sir in Kishori Sangathan. This grandmother had thrown me out of the house. Aunty kept me in her house and helped me stop child marriage. Today I have stopped child marriage of daughters in many villages. -Shehnaz, Madhubani

  • After my father’s death, I came to my maternal grandmother’s house with my mother in the year 2022. At the age of 16, my uncle fixed my relationship. I opposed child marriage but my family did not agree. On the day of the wedding, I informed a member of the village’s Action Aid team about this. After which the team reached the pavilion. Then officials from the Panchayat came and then my marriage was stopped. -Lal Babu Kumar, Muzaffarpur
