Bihar: A teacher couple going to school in Aurangabad was crushed by a truck, headmaster died, teacher’s condition critical.

A teacher couple was crushed by an uncontrolled truck in Aurangabad, Bihar. In the incident, the husband died on the spot while the condition of the wife remains critical. This incident happened near Ramabandh bus stand of the city. The deceased teacher has been identified as 58-year-old Ajit Singh, resident of Kadsara village of Rafiganj block and the injured teacher has been identified as Pratibha Devi. According to the information received, both husband and wife live in a room on rent in Dani Bigha locality of the city. On Thursday morning, both of them had left for school riding on the same bike.

The teacher couple were going to school on a bike on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, an unruly truck crushed a couple riding a bike near Ramabandh bus stand. The deceased teacher was the headmaster of Middle School, Powai, while his wife is working as a teacher in Girls Middle School, Powai. After the incident, a crowd of local people gathered on the spot. According to the information, after the incident, the driver left the truck and ran away. There is anger among the villagers regarding the incident and they are expressing their displeasure by taking to the streets.

Here the local people allege that even after giving information, the local police reached the spot with a delay of two hours. As soon as information about the incident was received, dozens of teachers also reached the spot. The angry people blocked the road and demonstrated. The city police station, which reached the information, somehow pacified the angry people, separated them from the spot, took possession of the body and completed the post-mortem process. The police handed over the body of the teacher to his family. At present the injured teacher is undergoing treatment in Sadar Hospital.
