Bihar: 320 houses will be demolished for Danapur-Bihta elevated road, know which villages’ fate will open

Bihar’s capital Patna is going to get another elevated road soon. A meeting of the Project Monitoring Group was held in connection with the construction going on in the district. Patna’s DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh presided over this meeting. He said in the meeting that there is good progress in the implementation of various state aided and central projects in the district. It was informed that land is being acquired in total 21 villages for the Danapur-Bihta elevated road project. For this, 320 houses will be demolished. 108 acres of land has to be acquired for its construction, out of which 64 acres is private. Compensation is also being paid in lieu of land acquisition.

3147 crore will be spent by NHAI

Let us inform that about Rs 3147 crore is being spent by NHAI for the construction of Danapur-Bihta elevated road. Instructions have been given to finish this construction work by June 2025. After the construction of elevated road, the journey of 20-25 km can be covered in just 20 minutes. However, the major problem is that there will be no U-turn anywhere on this entire road. With its construction, the distance of 120 km from the capital Patna to the Purvanchal Expressway via Ara-Buxar can be covered in just two hours. Along with this, connectivity will also improve with the airport and IIT being built in Bihta.

AIIMS-Naubatpur Road: Encroachment will be removed from 27

The DM reviewed the construction of additional two lanes with paved shoulders in km 10.84 from AIIMS (Bhusaula Golambar) to Naubatpur (Patna Ring Road) section of NH-98 (New NH-139). Instructions were given to take action to remove encroachments on government land of Water Resources Department in Naubatpur, Taret, Motipur, Virpur and Chiraura Maujs under Naubatpur zone and Bagga Tola (Muradpur) and Bhusaula in Phulwarisharif zone. While conducting miking in the area, the DM directed to start the work from April 27.
