Organizing a two-day footwear component exhibition

FMEC President Puran Davar told in the Component Footwear Exhibition that component is the main link of shoe production. In such a situation, this exhibition of IFCOMA will prove to be a boon for the shoe traders. Like every year, in the eighth edition of Shoe Tech Agra, all the components used in shoe production are being displayed under one roof. The special thing is that the event gives the buyer seller an opportunity to connect with each other directly. Due to which the foundation of future business is laid by the mutual communication of both.

Leather sector will get growth

CLE Chairman Sanjay Likha said that India has about 3 billion square feet of tannery in the world. About 7000 small scale industrial units in the country are associated with the footwear sector, which is very important for the country’s economy and foreign exchange earnings. About 40 percent of the women are working in the field. When 1000 pairs of shoes are made and sold, then according to an estimate about 425 people get employment in this whole process. We are completely dedicated to the growth of the leather sector. At the same time, he said that 50 types of small and big components are used in making shoes. In this, 30% components are being manufactured in India and 70% components are imported from China. Under the Make in India initiative of the Government of India, the manufacturing of components coming from China is now being started in India. This will benefit the industry as well as the shoe industry which is dependent on China will also end.
