Noted Hindi stage poet and Ram storyteller Kumar Vishwas said here on Monday that he is feeling as fortunate to have seen Lord Ram in his capital city before his consecration in the newly constructed temple as he did on August 15, 1947. The countrymen who saw the first morning of independence must have experienced it themselves. His statement is being seen in connection with the statement given by Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, in the past days, in which he said that on the date of 22nd January, fixed for the consecration, he would have celebrated independence in 1947 and the death of one lakh soldiers of Pakistan in 1971. It was said to be as important as Pakistan’s surrender and getting Kargil back from its control in 1999.
