In July 2022, 3,41,370 passenger vehicles were supplied by the manufacturers to the dealers. According to SIAM data, domestic two-wheeler sales declined to 12,82,054 units in July. In July, 2022 it was 13,81,303 units. Motorcycle sales declined to 8,17,206 units from 8,70,028 units. Scooter sales also came down to 4,28,640 units from 4,79,159 units. During this period, wholesale sales of three-wheelers stood at 56,034 units, compared to 31,324 units in the same month a year ago.
SIAM said that total vehicle sales across all categories stood at 16,40,727 units.

Passenger vehicle sales in July 2023 were the highest for the month
SIAM Director General Rajesh Menon said, “The sales of passenger vehicles in July 2023 have been the highest this month. However, there was a slight increase of 2.57 percent in comparison to July 2022.
