The vehicle manufacturing company has now started preparing to bring its popular car in 6 and 7 seater layout. The company has named the new incarnation of Grand Vitara as Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Y17. This will be a three row car. It is being estimated that it can be launched in the Indian market during 2025.

The design of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Y17 has been prepared by SRK Design. This upcoming new car will be similar to its existing model, but its length will be slightly longer. Apart from this, its design includes Suzuki badges, thick chrome bar, black colored hexagonal grille section, sharp triple beam LED headlamps, vertical LED fog lamps, wider lower air intake and a muscular bonnet. Big wheels are provided in its side profile. The length of its wheelbase is 2,600 mm.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Y17 will be offered in 7-seater layout. The option of 6 seater layout can also be given in it. At the same time, the company’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder K15C mild hybrid petrol and 1.5-litre three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engines will continue. Additionally, the K15C Dual Jet Dual VVT Smart Hybrid petrol engine can be offered in low and mid-spec variants, while the top-end trims will be equipped with a more powerful hybrid engine. These have been taken from Toyota. The 7-seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Urban Cruiser will be based on the Toyota sibling based on the Highrider.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Y17 price and competition

After the launch of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Y17 in India, it will become the company’s flagship SUV with IC engine. It is also being estimated that after coming in the market, its price could be between Rs 15 to 20 lakh. In India, it will compete with Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Citroen C3 Aircross 7 Seater, Mahindra XUV, Hyundai Alcazar as well as the upcoming 7 seater SUV cars of Renault and Nissan.
