Accident happened while going to Prayagraj
On December 23, Tanmay Raju’s friends were going from Sidhi to Prayagraj to pick him up from the airport, when the tire of the Nexon fell apart, causing the car to fall into a field. It was fortunate that his friends were not injured.
Broken hub, useless help:
Mr. Raju told that the tire separated due to the broken hub. Disappointingly, his efforts to obtain assistance from Tata Motors proved difficult. The company sent two “useless” men with only a towing truck, who were demanding a hydraulic lift before the car could be towed.
Trapped for 28 hours, security concerns increased:
After being stranded for almost 28 hours, Mr Raju stressed the life-threatening nature of the situation. Despite this, Tata Motors still demanded payment for the towing truck. He eventually took a private towing service, which took the car to Rewa Tata Motors workshop.
Tata Motors responds, reveals past complaints:
Following the tweet, Tata Motors immediately requested Mr Raju’s contact details so he could be contacted, while others expressed similar complaints with Nexon online. Earlier this year, a Bengaluru man claimed to have received a “defective” brand new Tata Nexon.
