Tight security arrangements have been made by the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate for the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) to be organized by the state government on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Vishwa Bangla Convention Center in Newtown. 1500 police personnel have been deployed in Newtown area. Buses have also been diverted from the area. Instructions have also been given to control goods vehicles. The buses which go through Vishwa Bangla Sarani in Newtown area have been diverted.
Buses going from Chingrighata to the airport via Newtown will be diverted from VIP Road from Tuesday morning to midnight. Buses going from Chinar Park towards Narkelbagan will be diverted from Akanksha Mod. It has been told by Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate that seven DC rank, 15 ACP rank and 35 Inspector rank officers will also be deployed in the security arrangements.
